Needs to stay in better

Maybe it is the way my slam panel has a seam that goes across the hole for these buffers. The one on the passenger side is happy where it is, but the driver side one apparently doesn't like the company and the next time you open the bonnet you are greeted by an empty space. Kind of like when you get home and your girlfriend's stuff is gone and your closet is empty.
These things are tough to get to stay properly and if you get aggressive with a screwdriver you just end up tearing them up.
