It will not fit 948 or 1098cc Midget or Sprite engines with the engine code beginning 9C or 10C. For 1098cc Midget/Sprite engines use part no. RIC778. Please note: This conversion is intended as an upgrade for the A-series engine for fitment during a full engine rebuild. It will not work as a "bandaid" to completely eliminate oil leaks on a worn engine.

No, those kits are only for the later A-Series engines.

Will this kit might stop the rear seal leaking in my '61 MK1 midget? It has a 9C, (not the 9CG) 948 engine with a smooth case tranny in her now. Will the RIC775 kit work? Not sure what size the main is.

All of the 948cc cars have a 1 3/4" main bearing size, so yes, this is the kit for your application.

I have a 1965 1098cc MKII MIDGET do I order the 2" rear seal kit?
Answer:
Probably. The early 1098's were designated 10CG and had the 1.75" mains - the later 10CC engines had the 2" mains. The last 10CG engines were fitted in JAN of 1964.
