That reminds me. You already said you were coming to pic it up 2 different times. I took 2 vacation days for that. I have the emails and I can show what vacation days I took. You sent $150 because I told you I would cover you for a few bucks if shipping was more than you expected. I meant $50-$75 not $200 or more. You need to admit you were trying scamm me for extra shipping money, to get the engine cheaper. Jokes on me.

I just pony up and pay it, and forget about it. I can understand you being a bit pissed, but after I'd have driven 60 miles to the depot, I'd very likely have dropped another $100 to ship it there and then, rather than drive back with it in my trunk all over again - but I don't now how much extra they wanted... I imagine you have learnt something from this - that engines are a PITA to ship unless you have a dock or a contract with a freight company, and that when you sell somet, your responsibility doesn't end when you cash the check. On the same point, personally, I've had a lot of luck with R&L for shipping big stuff. My thoughts here is that you are someone who could basically say "yes, I'm relativly new to this, and I didn't do as much homework as I should have before entering into a business deal" (which I believe you legally did, once the check was put into your bank)... YOU are the one who can make this right (by refunding the $1K or shipping the motor at a small loss) - and gain some respect... Or you can hope this guy will just go away...

The first shipper was a small time, one guy out fit. He told me on the phone to leave it and it would get there. I call a week later to see if everything went OK. Shipper refused to take it with him on the trip. I then had to haul it on a furniture dolly down a big hill in wet grass and back up a big hill. By myself in the rain. (gate was locked) I called him and told him what I went through. He seamed very unconcerned. I told him I would send the $150 and he could arrange transport and pay for it on his end. He wanted no part of that. He then said" just send my $1150 back". 2 half days of work 120 miles. Countless emails and phone calls, to I don't know how many shipping company's. That's when I told him your engine is here, figure it out yourself. I then told him it was in my way and in a week I would start charging him $10 a day. He was tyring to get over on me for shipping, so he could get the engine for what he first offered me and I refused. Take me to court, or come get the engine. That's all I will say about it.......

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

I have no idea what the money part of this argument is worth in dollars and cents but....IF Novashawn still wants to sell the engine and....IF HighBody still wants to buy the engine, why not just suck it up, split the difference in the cost of shipping, conclude this pi$$ing contest and call it a day. Or why not get in your cars and meet somewhere between Goldsboro, NC and Woodstock, Ct. like say Baltimore and make the make the transaction in person. Hell, time it so you can go see the Orioles loose a ballgame at Camden Yards while there and split an order of hot dogs. Whatever you do, just get on with it or chalk it up to a total misunderstanding, settle the deal and walk away like men.

Tell them how much you sent for shipping and tell them what I did to try and ship it for that. You know why you dont have your engine.

So far I've gotten that NS recieved money for the engines and money for shipping, and came to an agreement on price. Stated that he couldn't ship the engines for the amount of money recieved for shipping. Stated that the buyer wanted to send the difference on the amount owed on shipping. Also stated he didn't refuse to ship. So be a man of your word.....ship the stuff and get reimbursed for the difference owed.
How much sh!t could novashawn ship if novashawn would ship sh!t.

At this point I will not be contacting you again. I will expect either a certified check sent by certified mail or it can be sorted out by a magistrate of the courts of North Carolina. If it is necessary for us to go to court I have asked the courts to grant me not only the money sent to you for the motor and shipping but also the court fees totally $80, travel expenses for me to get there and back, and compensation for my time out of work. I had hoped this could be worked out without going to these extremes and still do have these hopes. Thank you, Matt |
We agreed on a price. Im not a shipping company. I would be happy to go to court over this. I have all the emails too?

I started charging him storage on july 16 after I hauled it 120 miles round trip to a shiper that saw it and refuse to send it, for what he was willing to pay. One week he wants me to sell it and give him his money back the next week he's comming to get it.

Why would I pay for shipping?...not my engine and don't know the "buyer".
Don't be a wetcooper about it, ... give the guy his money back.
"Everybody should own a MINI at some point, or you are incomplete as a human being" - James May
"WET COOPER", Partsguy1 (Terry Snell of Penticton BC ) - Could you send the money for the unpaid parts and court fees.
Ordered so by a Judge
