Did you even read what I wrote? I dont hide behind my badge, its my job, and whats does that have to do with threatening or promoting a police officer to be killed or hurt.

kinda like tough guys hiding behind a badge. are you upset because I called you out? this is not the first time you have offered to"help" someone with thier mini.

If I suspect the manufactured true VIN had been altered on a vehicle, I will seize it.  It does not matter if it's a mini or other make of vehicle. I have seized 6 mini's in the last year and all of them have been either crushed or exported. The fees at the tow yard, lawyer fees, court cost, will add up, including all the money lost on the purchase of the mini. Since I work an auto theft task, with 60 other investigators within the county, we can make time to investigate these cases. If you suspect you might have a revin, re-shell, 96/63 year, then you can contact my office to have your mini inspected, free of charge.

CooperTune, it's cool, there always tough guys that hide behind there computers. He has no clue what I do, or how many stolen cars I've recovered and minis I saved, helping people out with getting there cars and paper work corrected, but it's cool. If he feels good about threating or promoting a police officers life, then so be it.

I think word of mouth is the best way to go.

Did you look under Social at Tuners and shops in your area ? Might be someone close by for you. Just a thought.

.....or just get a Haynes manual and just fix it yourself, ( that's what they always tell me here, lol)

seriously, go to meet up.com and search classic mini owners..im sure one or two clubs or even shops will show up.. good luck.

have you driven your mini to Malibu or big sur? try it

Vouching for Jorn in SFV... he already did some work for my mini... ultimately, a botched attempt equates to more $$$ & time...

I would also love the name of the Garden Grove connection.  I agree that Heratige is too expensive for my budget.

For those who don't know him Jorn has been working on Minis for better then 34 years.  Him and Jay Weinstein originally built mine in '78 in Canoga Park. Welcome to the board Jorn.  Check out the link below to see what my mini looked like 34 years ago and what it looks like today.

I am still in business on a limited basis and work by appointment only in Northridge / Los Angeles.  What kind of work do you need?  Interesting misspelling of my name.

There is a Mini mechanic named Bjorn ouli (spelling?), out in the valley, I don't know if he is still in business, and there is APT out in Riverside or Berdoo.  Bill Gearcase's shop in Costa Mesa is called Mintec. I have a Mini Savy mechanic friend in Garden Grove, who might be the cheapest route.  If it is something not too involved, Maybe I could help you, especially if you help with the "bending over and crawling under", but again, Costa Mesa location.
