Loving the Minor, it looks great, I always thought the rear whell wells needed to be extended, but then again I love the look of the old '20-'30's cars to along with the 50's cars

I bought a wrecked 1995 Camaro with around 60k on the clock. Pulled the engine/trans from that. 1986 Toyota truck full frame, with Toyota disc brakes up front, Ford Explorer 8.8 rear end with 3.55's narrowed 9", vw scirroco drag radiator, the master you see on the firewall is for a krc powersteering unit, AC, Powerbrakes, blah blah, Dad needs creature comforts. It's a frankenstein for sure. But getting there!

Gotta admire an attitude like that!

Cheers!

Thanks, I like having fun with my cars. Take a look at the never ending Morris Minor project. I can't wait to take that to British Car Day, or the likes to see what kind of conversations spark.

Wanted to post an update, it's been a while, and now it's got some British Green on the engine just to F with people. I placed my order a few months ago from Germany all the parts I kinda ever wanted. They finally showed up 3-8 weeks later. So I redid entire brake system, new carb, new coils, painted engine bay, I reupholstered seats, painted wheels, made up a set of spark plug wires, and a bunch of other odds and ends. Only thing I am waiting on is a new set of leaf springs. Anyway, finally got to take the family out on it's maiden voyage last week to the Raid on the Bay event (Put on my the Slow Riders out of Baltimore... air cooled VW). Went great, without a hitch, got her up to about 85-90kph with the car loaded up. Anyway, here are a few pictures. Looks like the pictures are in reverse order....

Would love to have that in my fleet, or rather my wife really would!! Seriously, she is almost worse than me. These pics are back from last November, but we had a really good turn out this year, almost 20 trabants! 2 Wartburgs I believe. The trabant has been in the back garage since then, hoping to have the seats reupholstered this year, and then just enjoy it, still need to put some form of rear seatbelts in it so our daughter can ride in it around the neighborhood.

Bill, never realized you were only an hour away from me. Have we ever met in person before via CMR, or MAM? We should get together sometime. Mini's, trabants, morris minor oh my! Just trying to focus on getting the Minor driving again at this point and not taking on any more projects! Ha. Air suspension is almost complete, need to get back on finishing up the 3.4 Camaro engine install. Can't wait to get that car done!

I found some great original DDR Stuff, like the blue glass beacon light, two tone euro siren... however not in the budget yet. To get ready for the show I just put in a PA system and hooked up my phone with a downloaded wav file. Anyway, here is a link I saw posted by the Spy Musuem the other day:

MeettheSpeakers,

Last weekend I was hanging out with a buddy and he had one of friends come over.  This guy (Chris) pulls up in a Trabby (not a wagon though).  He saw your trabby at the Spy Museum (not sure if it was just pictures or he was there in person) and kept talking about how nice it was.  He was wanting to know if you found the light/siren that makes the Two-Tee sound?  And if so, where?  Chris is certainly into Trabby's, he has three, and the third one he owns was mentioned in an earlier post -- the U2 original Man painted Trabby.  He is still looking to find/buy the woman Trabby as well.
