The early Aussie doors are the same as MK1's but the later with the burst proof locks require quite a bit of modding. The MK 111> doors can be fitted but need A panels etc to work. I looked into it when i owned my pick up and thought that you could remove the inner skin with all the hardware from a MK 111> and fit it to the MK 1 door but you may loose the door pocket. In the end i just made my sliding windows quick release and just pulled them out when i drove it, in fact i just left them out for the Summer here in FL (unbearable with sliders) and threw a car cover over it when parked to keep the cats/rain out mainly.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Thanks everyone for all of the help. I believe that the MK3 doors and AU doors are a different shape than the early MK1's.

I would think a good set of Australian MK1 doors would cost way more than that.  I don't know of any for sale, but I think the last set I saw for sale was about $1000 each.

bad thing with those windows is that quorters tend to leak with age and finding the rubber sealing for them is difficult...

Scott,

That looks to be a vent window conversion for Mk3 on doors... Pretty cool though
