George,
I'm thinking you're not the mechanic type. If you've ever tried a ground up resto, you'd soon realize the folly, unless you were planning to keep the car for yourself or it was a rare model, such as a genuine matching numbers cooper S. Aside from buying new parts or refurbishing them, the cost quickly outpaces the resale value.
As far as a mini 1000, what part might someone need to buy a whole salt drenched car, that they might not find from members on this board used, or be able to source from our host new?
Salt drenched cars= junk.

There might be a part somebody can use. They do use forklifts to lift cars. Can the parts and body be acid dipped. Thanks

George,
I, like you love to hunt cars. The issue I have with CoPart is that they use fork lifts to move the cars around damaging the underside in a reckless manner.
I'd also never buy a flood car. This latest group of flood cars here in the northeast have been flooded with SALT water. Anything you buy from this group will have built in rust that you'll never get rid of unless you strip the car to a bare shell, and sandblast every part.
surely not worth the effort or funds.
Happy hunting.

A nice convertable Morris Minor. If it is flood damaged, it would have to be torn all the way down, but not a big issue for Mini/Minor enthusiests I would think. That interior needs to be trashed anyway! Auction ends 1/22/13. Sitting at $800 right now!
