Another satisfied customer! Classic Motorsports magazine, and their Cooper S rebuild. They needed a heater done correctly!!!

I can rebuild yours for sure! Just got done powder coating the heater that will go into the Mini S that Classic Motorsports magazine is restoring! Just need to put it back together and print the front panel.
As far as what an old un-restored heater is worth??? Dunno, but I know I have paid more that $50. and less that $50. I sell them, but after I figure in my time of tear down, checking the heater core, the motor, cost of the powder, time to put it back together, print the front panel, stainless screws, and foam, I think I make a fair profit. Could someone do it themselves? Sure. But I'm GOOD AT IT BABY!

Just an off the cuff question, but could instead of selling a heater to you, could someone send you a heater to be restored? With obvious payment for services of course.
I'm not needing it right now, but once I get to that point I will need to get a heater or two rebuilt.
Chris
Ditto......
btw....what is the value of a sad looking later MkI heater? (working)

Manron you mean you want old MK1 heaters to restore? I have my old one on the shelf after replacing it with the T7:
Where did you get the long black plate that is screwed into the back of the T7 heater so that it fits the original screw holes? My T7 heater won't fit under the dash without it!

I am looking for some old in need of restoring MK1 heaters. It's a hobby now, and my supply is almost nothing now. I buy them, bead blast them, poder coat them, and check the heater cores, then put them all back together with stainless screws, etc. Faceplates need to be with the heater, and would like them complete with the ears too.
