It looks like the playback speed of the video increases when Dennis & Chris are on the track!

Autocrossing is more fun than racing. Don't have to worry about anyone hitting you. I got to autocross in San Diego at Qualcomm stadium. A 2.4 mile track, it was so much fun. They put some 180 degree turns into the track and you had to get around those and into some s turns. I can't wait to get my mini on the track.

I won the class and came 4th in raw time out of 51 cars. I was about 1 second off FTD and only a couple tenths off second and third. The car has more time in it and this is my first autocross this year and third in probably twenty years. The car's pretty capable as it's a two time Canadian National championship winnning car. Just for reference I was just over 1.5 seconds faster than the fastest Mustang.
Cheers

How did your time measure up to the bigger cars? The 5.0 looked smoking and barely on the edge of control. You guys looked like you were driving on flypaper.

Winter changes have seen more improvements although there are a few more mods now being added to the list. Heres a link to some video showing the car on track. I'm at 1.43 and Rick is at 6.42 //youtu.be/dKmgqJKVMGk

Great video Dennis! Looks like you guys have spent a lot of time on car setup to make the most of the performance bits. Interesting camera angle.
Western Speedway - that surface is looking rather ratty these days! Last time I was there had to be in the early 1990's..... It's amazing that place still exists given the amount of development in the area.

It's a 92 Cooper from Japan. 1275 with lots of nice bit, the best being a great cam from Graham Russell in Aus. Quaife sc/cr gearbox and LSD and the suspension is comp donuts, all heim jointed, rear adjustable swaybay and AVO (Miglia spec) heim jointed shocks. Fronts are double adjust and rears are single. Car made 104hp at wheels on latest dyno run.

Interesting the way that GoPro automatically pans and adjusts. Yeah tell us about this car.

Just thought I'd post a quick video of Rick and I doing a autocross the other week with VMSC in Victoria BC. Thanks to the Nige for sticking his GoPro on the side although it's too bad the battery died and missed my last run as it was about 1.5 seconds faster than the last run in the video. They had us staging through a couple big puddles so the tires are cold and dirty off the line so the first few turns are a little loose. We're running 10" R35 Hoosier's so the grip is really good. //youtu.be/KVabAZ5VF8s
