Just talked with Larry and he still has some of the three mini prints I showed above. He is clearing house of Moke stuff also to raise funds. Although I think most of it is going back to the UK.

A good time of the year to help Larry and get some fine prints for Christmas gifts. I am going to pick up some more for the silent auction at next Aprils CMU event.

Thanks Paul and JD I really appreciate it. If you saw on the news today to ad insult to injury they have indicted 200 NYPD and NYFD for scamming over fake claims stemming from 9/11. It should come as no surprise that while they are out stealing from the government I have to fight to pay my bills. It's very sad. I have been working to try and sell my property in NJ to a get me out of the cold which doesn't agree with my breathing. I told my neighbors about my 9/11 health issues and that I need to sell it to pay my bills. Well they have decided to band against me as they don't want it to be developed. Yesterday they reported my poor left over parts cars to the town. Anyone here who has ever visited my "Car Farm" will concur that it was something to see. It's a shame it has to go. I've also had people who read my story here tell me that it's my own fault I am sick. After careful thought they are right. I knew there were risks when I made my way up there that day. I also knew I felt compelled to help at any cost. My friend put it to me the best. He said in times of trouble the smart people run away from it, the crazy ones run towards it, but it's the crazy ones we look towards to help us when we need it. I guess I should have always known I was crazy, because who in their right mind would race a mini and try to beat Corvettes and Porsche's on the track? Thanks Larry

Willie_B many thanks for posting the pictures for me. I still have quite a few left if anyone is interested in helping out. You'll get a nice Limited edition Tony Smith print of a classic mini doing what it does best, which helps me pay bills that our government has stuck me with. If you can find it in your heart to help by getting a print or maybe help by just passing this along to some other site, or official where it might get some attention. Many thanks again to those who already helped, it is greatly appreciated. Hope You had a Merry Xmas and have a Happy New Year. Larry

Just got my prints from Larry. They are really nice prints and would make a super gift for a mini fan. They are limited edition prints so you would most likely be unable to easily find them somewhere else.

I want to personally Thank all of you who have taken the time and generosity to either help or order one of the Tony Smith prints. I also would like to thank you for taking the time to spread the word by visiting either Doug's page or the Facebook page containing my story and pictures I took while at the WTC. If someone knows how to get a picture of the prints up send me a message as I couldn't get the picture up. They are really nice Limited edition signed numbered prints featuring our beloved Mini's by the famous auto artist. They have been long sold out in the UK and would make a nice Christmas present for any Mini owners garage, man or lady cave. It would also go a long way to help me pay the massive amount of bills I have accrued thanks to our Governments lack of doing their part. Thanks again to all of you for your heartfelt wishes. It's embarrassing to ask for help and you've been too kind. Larry

I want to personally thank you for your sacrifice!! You are a hero in my book! I'm sad to hear you having so much trouble getting help from the Gov't.

I know you've been around the Mini community a long time and I've seen you post here before. I wish you good health and I hope others will help give a little. It will add up quick if we all give a little. I didn't want a print, just wanted to help.

If you're reading this and wondering if you can help, yes, click on his link and you can make a small donation. You don't have to buy a painting to help out. Of course you could do that too.

Larry,

I'm sorry you have had to battle ailments and unfortunately be forced to beg for help! That is just WRONG. You deserve MUCH better!!

Again, THANK YOU!!!

 Kristina

I’ve been in the Mini World since 1979 and have turned to the Mini world for help because I trust you are way more caring than our government is. It is embarrassing to ask for help, but I have gone round and round for over two years now waiting for our government to do what is right.. I am very doubtful they will ever step up to the plate after 12 years. I have more faith in my mini going 100k trouble free miles than them ever doing anything to help. I have thousands in bills I have accrued do to my 9/11 related health issues. It took over a year and a half to get an approval for surgery and I wasn’t home form the hospital 1 day and they called to see how I would like to pay for this surgery because the WTC clinic had denied payment. Not expecting any Christmas miracles especially from them. For those of you who don’t know me:

I had been self employed for almost 25 years. Most of them repairing and racing mini‘s up to a couple years ago when on going respiratory issues and surgery have made it impossible for me to work. On 9/11 I volunteered as a rescue worker at the WTC. Even though I have been told all along that there are many benefits available to me as a volunteer I have been denied all of them. I can't collect disability or unemployment because even though I've paid into these funds all my life, as a self employed person you are barred from collecting. All the people I talk to think that the volunteer rescue workers have been taken care of by our government. Well I'm here to tell you this is not the case. I've even been told because I volunteered our government officially says I was never at the WTC on 9/11. Even though I have my original pictures and documents showing I was there. They’ve even added insult to injury by requesting I show them copies of the commendations I’ve received as official proof I was there. Oddly enough in the last 12 years since 9/11 no one has stopped by to pin any medals on me and as I told them “I didn‘t go there looking for any either‘.

My friend and mini owner Doug Auld an artist has painted, then made prints from one of my original photos to try to help me.

I have quite a few of the Artist Tony Smith’s Italian Job and Mini Monte prints that I will offer as a gift for a donation of $135 to paypal address [email protected] These will be gently rolled and put in a 4” heavy shipping tube and sent by mail to US addresses only. I had a ton of interest in the UK but shipping is as much as the print. If someone outside the US wants to get together with a few people in their club it might be worth shipping if splitting the cost. These editions have been long sold out in the UK for 9-10 years. I purchased these prints to do a promotion with BMW (whom I used to work on the classic mini's in their press pool for), but it never came together and they were just put away in storage. I have the prints Getting away with It, Mini Monte 2, and Going for Gold all are signed, numbered by the artist Tony Smith. Thanks for taking the time to read this, Larry
