I am only 5-10 . Still I lowered my seat by removing the seat mounts from the front of the tunnel, using nut serts I fixed the mounts to the back of the tunnel. I lowered the front legs as much as possible . The back legs are cut down to the right driving position.A flat bar with two mounts welded on is bolted to the floor and the back legs bolt to them. The seat still slids back . So the drivers seat is bolted down and the passenger seat is built the same but it is pinned in for quick removal . When taken out all of the electrical boxes are open for veiwing .
My over the shoulder belts are anchored to a bar behind the seats.

Mazda Miata seats. I'm six-one and my long legs fit under the standard position steering wheel with (some) room to spare. With careful placement, they recline right past the rear bins.

I'm 6' 2" and I have the wheel lowered and the seat set back on the rear bolt holes. Our 95 Tartan has the factory adjustable seats so I also recline it very slightly. When entering the car I put my left leg in first under the wheel ( RHD car) and then slide under the wheel. I have done several long drive days and found no problem. The Mini's driving position is what it is.

over 6ft, what seats did you use. im 6 ft 2 and cant find a seat that fits me and the car. spent about 100$ and a few hours. I want something that sits low, reclines  comfortable scoots way back and comes up to top of my head. Ive got a recaro from an older bmw. im gonna try that as my last hope
