Marv-

Agree, many more minis listed for more, the point l was trying to make is the invested dollars to sale price ratio

And in respect to the mini in DeNver you refer to, at $17k, l sure as hell am not paying that kind of money

and getting a mini with a dent in the bonnet and some rust holes in the siills

There are so many top end "perfect" Minis out there, selling for a fraction of there invested value, it is a buyers market for sure

when she said "its so small" she meant the car right?

The seller of the $17,500 Estate may be citing shop rates (i.e. what it would cost a 3rd party to have a shop do all the work that his shop did.)

If you have to pay someone else to do everything, it wouldn't be a staggering shock to see a bill like that (depending on what you started with, of course.)

While I think the listing is a fascinating primer for someone looking at a cheque book restoration the prices just seem a little overegged...

Maybe you would pay 5 1/4 for a top line off the shelf engine but I've never paid that much for parts and work for my engines.....

Mind you, I reckon its worth every bit of the 17 asked...

Cheers, Ian

It is the top car listed on the mini mania cars for sale section under featured cars

It is NOT listed at  @ $68,900.00 ,it has that much invested in the build
