The second pic of the estate - are those seats original? (If not to that car)

I have the same in my 1000, and the driver seat is in bad shape.

They were not, I had tan cloth originally. These seats came out of my previous 998 Auto Mini Sedan circa 1984 or so. I had an upholstery shop just widen the rear fabric, and redo the piping on the side. Turned out perfect. The pattern really has grown on me.

New carpet finally! Haven't had carpet in it since last November. Fabricated new switch panel, center console, liquid sound deadener on floors with eastwood black/aqua speckle paint, edead on sides panels. Can't forget the Mini T full length rear bumper I finally got!

Then fabricated bigger rear turrets, raised rear wheel well on outside to be flat. Fabricated the front Airlift mounts on the front. Plumbed in a simple air management and ran 1/4" lines to everything. 7.5 cooper s disc brakes, after going from drum to 8.4's, now back to 7.5's for the first time so I could run some 10" potenza knock offs.

Still in the box to do, rhb 32 turbo, sc 5 port injection, paint block, do a wire tuck in the engine compartment, weld up some small odds and ends... and then I should be good to go... for a while... this year.... or summer...

Other than that, I got too many other Mini's to work on, need to unload 2 cabrio's (Kieth Convertibles Conversion), and the blue Mini from New Zealand. The 61 is almost done, kinda... going in for a respray soon, and currently getting interior reupholstered.

Here is what we did. The burled walnut finish was sun bleached and cracked so I removed the dash and had a woodworker friend remove the  old and install brand new walnut burl on the base. The only difficulty we had was along the very curved top and sides of the speedo area on the small raised dash section. Instead of going berserk trying to steam and bend we painted the edges a satin black finish and it looks like a factory option. Total cost a couple of hundred dollars. I tried to source a new replacement dash but because of the AC and relocated glove box, nothing was available anywhere.

One finger to push around on the metal trays.  robably a little more difficult to do directly on a garage floor and only if it was spotless.  Dirt and grime would ultimately cause the feet to bind.  I do have them on all 4 wheels, Superfins in the rear.

I added a reverse lamp and rear fog lamp, also a new pair of SuperFin brake drums, cleaned and re-packed the rear wheel bearings and tinkered with a bit here and there.

the itb's started out from obx, but they have been tricked out, the inlet was cut and some 45 elbows welded into them, clears the firewall without having to mod or cut or hammer or anything to it

the engine is a single cam vtec, started out with a D16z6 block, hondata s300, ported head bisimoto valve springs/stage 2 cam, adjustable cam gear,PM7 pistons, arp rod/head bolts, obx 3.7 lsd ferret valves, close ratio gearbox, ebay header, 2.5inch exhaust, 2.5inby 27 or 29in cherry bomb fresh rebuild on the engine, 1st time it started was on the dyno, 143whp, and I forget the flywheel hp, but it doesn't really matter

I have some filter socks for it, just havn't put them on yet

painted the shell last sept, and did the doors and front clip over the winter

Joakwin,

Those stacks look trick, are they OBX and what motor do you have them feeding?

Do you have a close up image of the engine for us to see?

Bochinam,

So if you have those mounts on all 4 corners (4 wheel disks) can you move the Mini around in all directions?

I'm also presently re-spraying the forward area of the interior to remove a couple of dash dents and because the 3 stage paint tint was never included in the interior by the PO's paint job.  Painting the interior with the interior still in the interior is one crazy tapping job!

Alignment. The idea is access to everything you need to adjust while under the full weight of the car, but without the wheels in the way.  The base of each stand has has steel balls for feet so they can move freely when adjustments are made.

I've gradually removed all the poly bushing from the fleet as they are pretty much a pile of crap

The latest big upgrade is braided brake lines all round on Betty - no pics yet as they will be in the magazine this month.

They are indeed "hub stands".  These are from Flyin Miata.

Rear subframe replacement, with new rubber cones, hi-lo's, new dampers, neg camber brackets, radius arm kits, bushings, knuckles, mounts etc...  Front?  New cones, hi-lo's, knuckles, neg camber lower arms, adjustable tie rods etc....  New tires and a tune up!  Planning this work for 6 years now!  Finally getting to it....

My to do list...have all the bits:  new rubber doughnuts/springs for f/r, new rear knuckles & hi-los, new rear camber brackets/shims, new HD adjustable on car lower arms/wiggly pins/bushes, new HD adjustable tie-rods...must get suspension setup & aligned before heading to Mid-Ohio/MMEMW.  To improve handling, tire wear.

My hope to do list...have most of the bits: 20 over 1275 & 12g940 head cleaned/crack tested, new guides for head/valves coming, hardened exh seats to go in, new A+ rods/crank, oil pump, duplex gears/chains, SW 5-7 cam/lifters/push rods, rings, plugs, bearings, stem seals, etc. etc., new inner CVs for tranny rebuilt to go with 1293, have good used driveshafts - also have choice of good used intakes Metro/Titan, good used HIF44 SU,...but may not make it in the Van before heading east in 8+ weeks.  Insight, will keep leak free 'puddin stirrer' shifter.  To provide more motivation to address mountain travel.

Poly bushings throughout, front and rear, knuckles, fornt nd rear, engine mounts, subframe mounts, ball joints, engine steady bushings, clutch slave cylinder, steering rack, radiator, alignment,  and.... led lights at the interior.  Ready for the next CMU Minis in the mountains event.

Next to do:  drilled and slotted disks and green stuf pads, adjust rear drums, get rid of that annoying vibration in the interior, install a speaker that was dislodged, wax it.

Don't know where you live Dyelooper, but shoot me a message and your welcome to come over. I added some more pictures of a few other upgrades to Minis back in Feb/March. The 4 pots were very nice, as well as the kad rear sway bar. Overall the combo on that car makes for a very well handling and stopping Mini. Went from the 13x7 (non deep dish) with dunlops to 12x5.5 Yoko a048r's with red springs, gaz adjustables, hi-lo's, rear sway bar, heavy duty tie rods (stock ones got bent). Brakes are slotted and vented 8.4's with brake booster. Anyway, always different things happening in the garage. I really really need to finish the Morris Minor!
