Yep, on the Morris Minors the wood is structural. Pops has one, interesting cars.

The sliding rear windows are held in my the "picture frame" on all-steel travellers and Clubbie estates, so the wood could easily be described as decorative as there are factory bits that can be substituted.

On a Moggie, the wood is properly structural.

The wood frame holds and covers the windows tracks, so is not completely decorative.

Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

Great subject, note the period correct wing mirrors

I assume the wood kits for these woodies were made off site by a supplier, just imagine the workers making these, wondering what good they would be on a car, when the earlier wood made for the Morris minor estates were in effect part of the body structure
