You do of course realize that BSA's were built for those without the bollocks to ride a real man's machine....a Triumph!!!

I'll be around as a spectator riding my BSA motorcyle which is more British than  Germain BINI.

OK....we are here at the MMW hotel. Very warm weather....but we have AC in the Mini !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Traffic on the TCH was some of the worst since I started driving here about 30 years ago. Incredibly aggressive drivers....we are doing 10 over the 100k limit and cars were screaming past us...I estimate a green Maserati Quatroporte was doing at least 170 as he wove his way thru traffic...and a white new Jag convertable was doing much the same at close to 200k,,,,We were in the HOV lane and almost nobody entered or left over the broken line entry points. Wish I was still working this area,,,could have earned a big screen TV on points alone from 1 shift there.

Hotel staff are very nice and helpful (I did promise to not practice my new bagpipes, to show our gratitude) , our room on the back side of the hotel is very comfy and the location promises to be nice and central. Timmys, Taco Bell and lots of other fast food and gas stations a 30 second drive down the road and we get a 10% discount at White Spot next door. Well done our organizing team. CU when you arrive.

Bob Overdorff & Winnie and Allen Frost from New Port Richey, Florida are just south of the Canadian Border camped in Lynden, Washington.  Been on the road 21 days.  Question, did they get to the Arctic Circle?  Or, are they going on from MMW to the Arctic Circle before turning south to home??

An hour from now and we're on our way to the Nanaimo ferry...nothing like getting there early at MMW to snag the best parking spot!

NorthPlatte Nebraska for the night. All is good. No car problems to report. My seat cooler needed the pump replaced. Makes it easier to handle the temps like today, 100 when I passed thru Salina Kansas.

Wish I was going. Ran into Mr. Jon Becker the other day, he parks his yellow race car outside his shop door to taunt me as I go to Lowes or to work, or even dropping kids off at 2 different sports practices. Apparently he's bringing a street Mini & a racing Mini - show off..... I can barely get out to my shop to even sweep the floor.

Bob & Winnie left Port Richey, Florida on June 6th to head for the Arctic Circle on their way to MMW...Tiny Tows and American Eagle are on their way to the California coast this morning for the trip north...and Ed Bulpitt has fired up his beautiful Australian Cooper S after 7 years in the garage to attend MMW....

Going to be a terrific meet!

Go safely Brad!  Looking forward to your arrival.  Appears that you will be on the road close to 500 miles every day through Sunday next.  Keep us posted on your progress and what you may need on arrival in Abbotsford.

No word on Bob (& Winnie) Overdorf from Florida, who were heading for the Arctic Circle enroute to MMW, or from Al Frost, who might (?) be travelling with them.

The Shasta crew from California will be on their way up the coast soon with Mini Eagle and Tiny Tows leading the way.

Everyone a long haul Classic Mini driver at heart!

There is still time to change your plans....ma BagPipes arrived taday Lairds an Lassies....the ultimate accessory for a Mini Tartan...really. As a special feature for the car show I will be taking requests....mostly to NOT play....as I have never had a lesson. Wink The only good news is that they are "mini" bagpipes.

Schedule of Events is up on the web site - www.minimeetwest.com/2015 - spectators/visitors are more than welcome.  Those interested in Classic Minis all events.

Those interested in new MINIs should stop in for the Car Show on July 1 at the Thresherman's Museum.  Gold Sponsor MINI Langley will have 4 new MINIs on display, as well as the MINIS registered for the Meet in the Show.  Take Lickman Road Exit from Hwy.1 in Chilliwack.  Museum is on the southeast corner of the Lickman Road Overpass & Hwy. 1
