As far as I know with the current message bored, if you want your e-mail to show up in your profile, you'll need to create a new account.
Of course your screen name will need to be different. IE: JonInCM And your post count will be zero. (Which wouldn't bother me. No point in letting folks know how much time I've wasted here...)

Edited to add:
Dennis, as long as you're working on the profile issues, how about some rolleyes action?

Agreed.

Recently I've had the forum web page ask me to fill out a questionnaire when I logged on. I think next time it asks I'll suggest a more complete set of user credentials and a PM system.

Like Alex, I typically check a user's profile and send them an email.

Unless, of course, they didn't bother to show an e-mail in their profile.......

Then, the best you can do is ask in the open forum for them to e-mail you.

It would be nice if you were required to fill out a complete profile when registering here, along with roll eyes of course ......
