Never helicoiled before....will look into it....thanks Doug
I could probably make this one work if I removed the rubber from elbow to housing, there would then be more thread available....but I like the tight seal
In the meantime I found the part # to be 12G2705
for Cooper S airbox from 69-71

Hopefully someone will have a good used one for you.
When restoring my car I could not find the long wingnuts so I made my own. I took a short length of 1/2" aluminum rod and drilled and tapped both ends. I used permanent Loctite (green) to bond a set screw in the top, droped on a washer and then applied more Loctite and screwed on a wing nut. They don't look original but since I made a pair, they match each other and don't look out of place.
Since you already have the part you could HeliCoil the one that stripped rather than make them from scratch.

One of my hold down wing nuts has stripped. I have the factory twin carb box.
I was going to cut down a later / longer one, but they are a different diameter.
Anyone have one in their stash available...thanks
