I think part of the reason the reserve wasn't met is that it may not be the original engine.

Should have sold for that ending price.

Very clean car.  Just a few hours left.  Its @ $15k and reserve is not met.  I am sure there will be a bidding frenzy soon.

Seeing the simplicity of a older clean mini is really refreshing.

I had a 63 Cooper S back in the day.  Had to dump it in my divorce.  As much as I tried, it was just a bit too small to live in.  Then there was the entire issue of food and water....whatever.  In retrospect I shoulda lived in it.

But with time comes more mini's.  I am back in the seat with a British Open Classic as of a few months ago.  Ahhh, life is good again and my universe has balance.

Sorry for the ramble.  Thanks for listening.  Back to my coffee...

And yes, good luck seller.

nice original car. i'm impressed it's still got the hydro suspension. i'll be curious on the price as well. Seller mentions Bill of Sale because it's a VT car, I suspect that will cause a little bit of a price hit. My guess: hi-bid $18.5k, i'll be curious if that meets reserve. good luck seller!

I suspect the engine is not original... 6232 crank and 12g940....   I have nothing against that mind you.... my own 66 S is all A+ and updated.... BUT originality wonks seem to rule the high-value cars!

The last one got to 25,200 but didn't sell. The Gilcrease Mini set an unfortunate precident for buyers, presumably the GF needs to be 1 for a sale.

If this fabulous thing were in Europe it would surely bring $40K plus.  Maybe it will here too!

Cupcake!  Since the advert doesn't really invoke the names of legendary Mini specialists, care to assign a factor?
