Interesting in that the ECU and expansion tank are missing along with the valve cover bolts.

Interesting...for the ownership docs listed, it says, "FL Certificate of Distruction."  What exactly does that mean?

It cannot be titled or registered on the road again Hugh (in Florida at least) not sure about other States. Basically the repair costs (insurance wise) exceeds the value of the car 100%. What is it with these last two Mini's with undercarrige damage ?

Edit: Just been informed by BC that a COD car cannot be titled anywhere in the US and are usually for parts or export only, unless that wrecked MPI Mini becomes a re vin re vin !!!!!!!

Sure, why not Re-VIN a Re-VIN.  Since it doesn't have it's original numbers anyway, who'd know?  Which brings up the question...why don't some of these Re-VINs get stolen here in the US?  I mean, if you had one that got stolen, how in the world would you prove that it was yours if it popped up with another VIN on it?  Yet, another good reason to be concerned if you have one of these cars...well, I guess that could apply to any Mini now couldn't it?  If they ever do reach $$$ such as what CoPart thinks they are worth then they will start going missing I'm sure.  Perhaps we should all go in somewhere, say, behind the rear subframe and stamp our name or some identifying number so we could verify our own cars in the event of theft and Re-VIN.  Just a thought...

That 74 MPI looks like it slammed a kerb head on and the subframe has probably pushed the floor up. Look at the fenders they are both facing down you can see the kink in the left one, the add says undercariage damage fixable for a lot less than $35k.
