Mike I have a couple of Falkens off the rims, you're welcome to one or both for the cost of UPS to you. The Cape to you should only cost $25-30 or so.

Of course ... if desperate carry a 10" spare. If flat is on front...move a rear to the front and fit 10" to rear :-)

Just a thought, as I haven't tried it myself, but if it's for a spare, how about a 12inch trailer tire?
Edit: Hmm, maybe not, seems like all of the 12inchers made for carts or trailers are too tall for a Mini.

Rick,
Thanks, but as you stated, It's likely cost more to ship that distance and dealing with customs makes it not sensible. I know someone closer will jump at it.
I rarely use the car, but when I do..........I drink Guiness. and I'd like to have a
decent spare. I'll keep looking.

I have one 12" Falken that has survived going to recycling and have posted it FREE to any Vancouver Mini Club member...and FREE to MM Board Member. Suitable for use as a spare.
It was bought new in Adelaide, South Australia...it has been to Victoria, Canberra (Australia's Capital Territory), New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania. And, B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota before riding inside the Mini.
However, I am as far away from New York as one could get short of heading for northern B.C., the Yukon or Alaska.

I've got a steel rim, but my tire's shot. Anyone have a spare 12 they'd be willing to part with?
I"m in NY, so likely it would have to be shipped.
