In 59 I was almost 10 years old. By 65 I saw my first mini and loved it. Having just bought my first car a 1930 Model A Ford coupe I was broke. No matter I was able to buy a 63 AH Sprite by 67 and an Austin 850 by fall of 68. Those were the days high school, two girl friends, three cars and two part time jobs. Steve (CTR)

Happy 55 Mini!
OK, I was 6 years old but Big Al's post stormed back memories for sure. My first car was an oval window '57 bug ! I have more memories thru High School about that car than I can share for sure. Then the BMC bug bit with Morris, MG and later mini.

In 1959 my parents weren't even alive!! Ok, just kidding. They were (just barely teenagers).
I did drive my car today, which btw way is for sale! (shameless plug I know).
