actually its a VW colour but very similar to bronze yellow! a sleepy bmw driver hit my gramps from the back in the mid 90s and the body guy couldnt reproduce the original sandglow.. so he sticked with what he got available.. unfortunately..

That Mini is painted Bronze Yellow ( a late 60's - early 70's color I believe).  My '72 Authi 1275GT (see my avatar) was that color and I loved it.  If I ever do a body-off restoration of my poor old Innocenti, I will probably use that color.

Great story Dimitris, cherish the time you have with him and thanks for making his day.

Dimitri,

Thank you for your post.  Your grandpa is quite lucky in my opinion because he has you in his life.  And of course the car too, the "Mini" reasons we are all spending too much time on this forum

Your post and photos of your grandpa made my day--

Thanks for sharing.

All of us love to talk about the cars.... But, it's really about people.

Thanks for sharing with us.

I'm sorry for your loss. What I mean by that is I know he's still with you but he's slowly slipping away, always be your grandfather, just different.

I've lost loved ones to dementia and Alzheimer's and the path you're going down I've walked. My heart goes out to you.

Again a wonderful story, thanks so much for sharing. A smile and a tear.
