In the 80's some friends from the UK rented a car here and it had a rather large red sign on the dash which said "look left when pulling out into traffic". Apparently we found out that the rental company had been involved in a large amount of accidents due to UK tourists looking the wrong way when pulling out into traffic.

Maybe becaus the video shows things happening you didn't notice while driving?

No, it's kinda weird. I felt perfectly comfortable doing it live. But, watching it on the screen, you have vehicles approaching from places you're just not used to seeing on a screen.

I've learned (the hard way) to have coffee, wake up a bit, slow down before jumping in a rhd car in the UK .

Wife wanted to go somewhere in Ireland at some ungodly hour and I wasn't awake by any means, had a divided motor way and I began the drive the wrong way, a lorry heading at me sure woke me to my arrant ways.

Fast learning curve.

I've driven right and wrong handed cars on the right and wrong side of the road in pretty much every combination.  Only time I've ever had a problem is in carparks.

During the good weather, I drive a RHD Moke almost every day. I thought that would give me a leg up driving on the "correct" side of the road.
I did just fine in traffic. It's basically follow the leader... It's when you're all by yerself and you come to an intersection... It takes all your concentration to figure out what lane you're supposed to turn into.

I don't understand Swedish but, if this was really filmed on the change over day from left to right, I wouldn't ever want to visit that place...... Look at all the snow on the ground.

When they were diggin the "Chunnel" I thought you could actually drive your car through the thing.... All I could think of is that somewhere in the middle they must have one hell of a set of weave lanes...... [rolleyes]
