We came home when the street lights came on.  Man, we were cool back then...

Jimmy's Birthday party - I really love that picture. I have that bike in my shed....

You know what - I love this photo too.  Those were the days; just look at the sideburns, bellbottom and striped pants, boots and canvas sneakers that made you run faster (always tested and proven to do so, right out of the box).

Man, that's 'the' Kodak moment.  Cool -

My son who lives in England got pulled a few months back with a very nasty fuzz (Cop) for talking on his cell phone. The cop was going to write him for a ticket, till he realized Tony was the passenger in  LHD Buick. Talk about egg on your face lol

Put a tiger striped seat on this and three speed setup, and this was exactly what I cruised on back in the day! Perfect for paper routes. Add some clothes pins and playing cards to the spokes, and then you could hear the motor running! An original bottle of Mug Root Beer, (brown glass bottles looked just like a bottle of beer), and you were looking about as cool as any ten year old possibly could! Thanks for shaing this photo Terry!          Mini Estate

Just think if you took one of those stupic boxes people are staring at all day and flailing away at it with their thumbs (smart phone) back in time. Hand it to someone and tell 'em you can watch TV, trade stocks, send pictures and such. They would think that you were insane.*

*And, since cell towers didn't exist, they would probably have you locked up.... You would have to sit in an asylum waiting to get a signal for years to call your lawyer... If Stewy has taught us anything, it's that time travel can be dangerous.

Wasn't the sissy bar the name for the backrest on the seat ?

I used to ride my 3-speed Sears Stingray Bike with banana seat and sissy bar to this Shopping Center in Portland, Oregon back in the 1960's when I was 10 yrs old. I believe I used this very phone to call home more than a couple of times to check in! It was 10 cents back then to use a pay phone. Oh yes, I forgot to mention 'Darlene's Toyland' was located in that Mall! (I'm sure I never even stepped a foot into that establishment all the times I ever visited there! HA!) Bought my first Train Set there actually with the first $20 I made on my 'Oregonian' paper route!(with the aforementioned bike!) This 'blast from the past' brought to you by Mini Estate. Thanks for letting me share.
