Still looking but in the interim I picked up a 1969 Triumph GT6+ that I'm working on.

So did you wear out the QuickSilver ball cap or lose it?  Glad you are back...and no, you can't have my Aussie Van for next to nothing.

Of course they aren't but they're still better than VW Beetles.

Drive it, silly!

Then when it isn't "minty" you WILL know what to do with it.

Quick, always good to have you back, maybe even if you just get one of those BMW things!

I know you said you won't do another Moke, BUT....    Call me about a "special project" that we have here at Mini Mania... A brand-new bright Yellow Moke waiting for someone to pick an engine for it, or put the original 850 runner back in for now.

Yes the new body is from our biggest creditor, but it is a real English Moke with proper title that we've been building on and off for a few years.  So right here, only before readers of this topic, is the info I wrote up about it... not advertised at all yet:

A very rare opportunity!
Mini Mania has had an ongoing project for a number of years re-building a 67 Mini MOKE for one of our customers.  Our customer has informed us he wishes to sell it in it's current unfinished state, so here are some details:

* Brand-new, never on the road replacement body in Bright Yellow

* Front and rear sub-frames with suspension and brakes, assembled to the body

* Mark 1 steering column installed

* Serious 4-piston Alloy caliper front disk brakes for 10 inch wheels

* Proper Title for 1967 English Mini Moke. This is a real Moke legitimately getting a new Body

* Original 850 and magic wand engine unit included, but you are sure to want to upgrade, Hint hint!!

* Many other parts included, inquire for details.

Jemal's comments:  A rare opportunity indeed!  We've made slow progress on this long term project for the owner, someone we've known for decades! His Moke was damaged in an accident, so we started from scratch with a new body made in China. Much has been said about these, but as someone very familiar with English Mokes, I can say that the new body is MUCH stronger than the original. It features an SUV style "running board" that adds tremendous strength and stiffness (and safety)to the body... No more "oil-canning"  over irregularities in the road. The sheet-metal is thicker everywhere so the body feels much more substantial.  It has about two extra inches per side allowing big wheels and tires, and yes it weighs more... a good reason to consider a bigger engine as part of finishing the build.  Here's your chance to have it completed with your choice of components, either here by us, or simply pick it up on a trailer and complete it yourself.

The owner is asking $12,000 for ALL

So, Quick.... This would let you pick up your "rock star status" right where you left off, and you couldn't be in a better part of the world for it.  You could even keep your old windshield!

Hello Craig, that neforious adn unsavory character would be me. I carried it here from Texas and I don't think I'll be able to do another Moke.

Some of you guys need to know that more than one Mini in your stash is a sign of inferiority complex Smile

I am looking to get back in, but this time I'm staying away from total projects and instead looking for a running project. It has to be registrable in Republik Of Kalifornicate and I can travel to get it - need to show the Missus that theres more to the US than Hollywood anyways.

So thin the herd and let me know what you have.
