Hot market or not, I would consider it foolish for anyone to pay that much for a moke.
Sorry, but I wouldn't trade our UK Moke for that "other yellow car". Anybody could buy and own a Viper.

hahaha! right, We all love wearing the kilt and feeling the breeze between the legs.. lol
moke is a love or hate thing, either you love it or hate it... unlike minis, everybody love minis , its a tiny car yet proportional in shape and size, unlike the Smart cars( google it) they are tiny but doesnt look cute.
people cant decipher it..

i went to the British car show in San Diego this morning and not even a single Moke is present there.
dunno why? maybe its not a hot commodity.
and you said someone's selling it for 38K??? heyyyL no!!!

BMC/British Leyland/Rover built somewhere north of 5.5 million Minis and varients. Of those, less than 50,000 (1%) were Mokes. Makes it a pretty rare beast.
So, how many "common" Minis were at this show?
