Not a traditional MGB, but there was a stunningly done metal dash British Racing Green MGB-V8 there. VERY cleanly done conversion that goes as well as it looks.

Time flies, folks.....it's not the "old days" anymore. The aging owner base of older, less expensive British cars we all enjoyed in years past and still enjoy today is in fact shrinking. Point of fact is that Euro has evolved into a euro-centric community (Greenville/Spartanburg SC) event that has become sugh a big/fancy charity machine it has attracted the more elite collector as its yearly attendee. Spectators have to go now expecting it to be different than what how it started out. It's a free show, and there are still some interesting cars to see. I had a good time at the show, and I had a GREAT drive down to and back from the show in my Mini by carefully choosing fun back roads for the majority of the drives. A good British car day for me, for sure.

Now, regionally, don't forget the Townsend, Tn. show each Spring. It's one of the enduring, bigger "British" regional shows that is now also feeling the need to spread its classes to include European cars due to the shrinking base of British car owners. A fact of modern life these days. The other sizeable, regional "British" shows still making a go include The Gathering each Spring in Elkin, NC, and the British Car Festival each Autumn in Waynesboro, Va. The common draw of these shows is their quaint locations with the continuing "old school" feel each has. They deserve strong support of the classic British car owners in the upper southeastern US.

I have not made the Brit  show on Labor day in Norcross GA. but will next year..

I'm not sure any car show featuring so many of the star cars of the real Italian Job can be called pitiful.  It was unfortunate that they opened and filled registration so far before the event, as many people with more classic cars and more reasonable budgets can't be sure their pride and joy will be running and ready on show day months in advance.
