My car does not look that bad from the back side. Thanks again for the help, pictures and stories. Was great to meet you.

geoO,
Thanks for posting that up. Brings back a lot of memories for both events.... even though I only did a 'drive-by' for East meats West.

Anyone wanna go out for fireworks? I'll help push.....

Cup, the yellow one was my race car in the early '70s, and I had my original 850 painted to match, so no one would race my 850 on the street. Just kidding (but not about the matching paint.) Sold four Minis - race car, 850, '66 1275S, and an 850 running parts car when I moved from KC to San Fran and was parking on the street. Sigh..... This is somewhere in Iowa, en route Blackhawk Farms - another road trip!

George, excellent stories. Traveling with Mur must have taken its toll .... just kidding. Your profile shows a blue Mini. Do you still have the yellow one?

Here's what I did for MC2 magazine, the mostly-MINI publication. Words and pictures....and congratulations to Nick Swift on the drive of the day. And Joe Huffaker, who won.
