Daily Driver = Ones primary Car or vehicle used regularly all the time no questions asked.

Personally i would exclude those that dont drive on" bad" days = Rain or nasty weather.  Its a all or nothing thing. Hot. cold . warm wet dry all around- your go to vehicle - your daily driver.

I drove "daily" a mini- and weekends and run around trips -long and short  and my Pickup truck was Backup, used 1/4 as much and never as a "trip Taker"

now- ha!  VOLVO WAGONS!!! yay - mini is sitting- needs a new home soon. and the comfort of AC . Cruze . power everything.. the Volvo is now the Daily Driver.

From some time early in 2002 when I completed our mini and it became my only means of transportation. It has carried Alex and myself everywhere we have wanted to be till a bad by pass hose failed on it. I parked it and jumped into a yellow mini project for the next couple of years. Once the blue cars engine, tranny, suspension and brakes were rebuilt I placed it on jack stands. I decided to drive it the 55th race at Mid Ohio. I have not been out of it since. Rolling over the metric odo the second time was a hoot. I think that's what daily driver is all about. Steve (CTR)

Had a 1963 Austin Mini 850 Saloon many years ago. All stock 848cc and running gear. Drove it roundtrip 38 miles back and forth to work for 6 days a week for probably 3 years. All highway miles. Speed limit was 55 back then. Averaged around 45mpg. Extremely dependable. Loved that Mini! Sold it to a guy with a pair of rescued Greyhound dogs for pets. He removed the rear seat so he could take them with him everywhere he went. True story.               Mini Estate

Wow...Great question!  Daily driver roots seem to be from the 8x5 Monday thru Friday era of reporting to the office.  I have a job where I work from home, unless I travel.  So 50% of the time I'm home and normally use the mini 100% for running about town when I need to.  When I go to the airport for business,  I drive my other car so it can sit and get beat up by the elements.  So...I do not drive much at all!  However, I have put more miles on my mini in the last couple years than on my SUV.  Does that make it a daily driver?

Air to Air appears to have this. So how many miles do you drive your mini or maybe more correctly how many days do you drive. One big mini meet trip could make you look like a driving hero. I only do 3 maybe 4 days a week (weather dependent) 3k a year or so from April to November. To add context my 2009 F150 has 40K on it, but I rode my bicycle 4500 this year.
