BEAUTIFULL CAR ! I know they were big and ungainly but what a feeling to drive one - you feel Iinvincible in the land yacht.

Another scary car, the 1958 Buick Special. Nicknamed 'The B-58' by the Factory. 4,115 LBS!!! Of that, 1,000 LBS. were chrome plated parts! (160 chrome bumper squares!) 227 inches long! 300 hp from the Factory. This was my very first car. It was passed down from my Grandma, (who purchased it brand new), to my Mom, to me. I think Christine would have met her match. This Buick was MASSIVE in proportion! It averaged 6 mpg. I had it doing 120mph as a 15 year old teenager with a learners permit on a back road in the country. Drove her straight through from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles in 18 hrs. flat. Mini Estate
