I have a 83 Jap mini, auto tranny. In the last two weeks, from a dead stop, when I step on the gas pedal their is an approx 5 seconds before she will take off. It doesn't do it all the time but has gotten more frequent since the weather has gotten colder. May be a coincidence. It only does this from a dead stop, she never fails while She is purring down the road. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The bands are adjustable if you remove the bolts from the front cover then bend and grind a wrench to get into the tight space, there may be a special tool for this job but it can be done with regular tools.
