sorry just checked the manual a few lines below says : consumption (ignition on) 3.9 amps i guess i'm in range?

the mini's been eating condensers and i'm about to install an electronic ignition kit! i need a confirmation of normal readings before i proceed. Resistance cold 3.7ohms, manual says 3.2 to 3.4 and 2.8 amps at the + terminal to the points..
