I don't answer seriously?  Really now...  Maybe I'm delusional, heck, I have neither friends nor a life, so it could very well be that I'm living in some sort of cloudy haze while I sit here listening to my Adam Ant and Jimmi Hendrix records.

I'd ask 'the guys' on here if I've been any help, to either this community or to you.  To you, I've given you entire parts lists and encouraged you to read the Articles pages, Calvers Corner and the Technical pages.  You dismiss every suggestion and I think you really believe that you've got things under control.  Good luck.  If I'm wrong, I'll leave forever; I don't need the aggravation and you can solve problems with WD40.  I can't even see my throwout bearing, let alone spray it to clear the rust which causes pitting and inhibits the clutch from operating.

Just curious and trying one last time to help; please post the part numbers for the clutch parts that you've ordered.  What you have currently installed is neither correct nor optimal, for any application.  If you've ordered incorrectly, you might be able to return something to your supplier if you haven't yet tried to install it.

We also have a saying, don't crap where you eat.  Now, where's my corncob pipe and straw hat, we're having possum for dinner.

"Weak or broken mounts can also allow the engine move far enough to significantly damage the carb or manifold."

Quote taken from a MiniMania product description, of course if you could read you'd have seen it in a product search, and it refers to bending the carburetor jet on HS2/H2 and HS4/H4 carburettors as well as cracking the exhaust manifold downpipe at or near the point where it is attached to the differential.

I'm curious, do you do a lot of drugs?  No rational person is this thick; it's not normal that someone with virtually zero knowledge, mechanical ability or skill can be so arrogant and friggin' rude ...   LOL!

"BUT so far in the past , i ended up answering all my questions... im giving you guys a chance now to redeem yourselves... lol"

SINCE WHEN DID YOU ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS???  If this were true, then why keep asking questions and just fix your mini 'your way'?

Yes but there is a ratio front and rear 1:3 and 1:5 you will have to look in the search bar to see which is which. IMO if you go to that much trouble you may as well install Hi Lo's as suggested by SXS do a search :(

Yes, before Hi-Lows were developed the tried and trued method of lowering was removal of material by sawing off some of the trumpet.

On sale now thru Halloween, //www.minimania.com/part/C-STR644/Hi-lo-Type-Kit-Front--Rear-Budget-Kit-Mini--Mini-Cooper-S

Don't wait ! Call now ! Operators are standing by ! 1 800 946 2642

Would you like to know the correct amount to remove ?

Racist??? All you were asked to do was do a search on this website.

Maybe you watch too much Craig Ferguson..... But, when he does it, it's actually funny.

that one gets the point across  this one is funny.

Again, I'll ask, could you please dump the "lol", in almost every post. You've yet to make me laugh.

And I know funny !

Another word to search for is stance.

The easiest way for you to lower your car would be to buy and install a set of what's commonly referred to as "Hi-Lows", don't believe me, do a search.

What about the cheapest way, run the car with 15lbs air in the tires.

Hey Rock Lobster....is that a pic of your car with the ruler? Those look like ATS wheels. Those are fairly rare in North America. They look to be in better shape than my set. At least the one in the picture

when she said "its so small" she meant the car right?

My post from another thread (//www.minimania.com/msgThread/116345/1/1/engine_vibration#1079018 ) where I spoon feed the answer, giving the choo-choo version and everything.  Here it comes, choo-choo, mmmm ~

Quote:

If the advice given by myself or anyone else is considered "pointing fingers", well, then I'm frankly rather offended and rather disappointed.

  • You ask for advice, don't take it.

  • You tell us there's a problem, we see several.

For example:

  • "if its not much to ask, pls can someone post a pic of  his  ditributor cap?  mine does not have a notch where the cap can sit and prevent it from moving,  on mine, only 2 clips is holding it to the shaft, so if the engine rans fast the vibration moves it then hesitation occurs. where did you buy your distributor cap? thanks"

    • If you'd bothered to look at the cap, or provided reference materials/relevant products on this website, you'd see that the cap does in fact have a notch and the vacuum advance unit should be what has a tab to hold it in proper alignment.  Maybe replacing the vacuum advance unit to a 59D4 unit that is known to function with your distributor would solve that problem.  No, I won't give you the part number.

  • We see a wildly bent clutch rod, advise you that it should be straight and that some unqualified individual bent yours in a feeble effort to get the clutch to engage, and now you're complaining that the clutch doesn't engage properly or that you've got 'engine vibrations' or whatever the heck you're describing.  Not to discredit your effort in trying to refurbish your own rod-change selector unit, but I have a sneaky suspicion that it'll wear quicker now that you've added a bit of flat steel, an oil jug and a bicycle handle.

  • We see your ignition timing dancing all over the place and instead of looking up the method of adjustment or specification in your Haynes that a good friend gave you, (yah i have one,,courtesy of my very good friend, i dont want to mention his name, but he knows who he is...that booklet got tons of infos..  (what_every_new_mini_buyer_must_buy ).  Ask after adjustment if you've done it properly is certainly ok, but to think that you've solved the ignition problem with the indicator timing marks like that is pretty far fetched.  I'm happy for you that you have those timing marks on the pulley and timing chain cover - imagine that they weren't there, as many minis lack them and have the markings elsewhere.

  • You show us (VVS videos) and we try to give you the best advice possible based upon the narrow scope of what we're allowed to see.

  • I believe that you said that you've got experience with muscle cars and such - I can't speak for the others, but I really don't see much evidence of any automotive mechanical foundation.  Fine enough, we're willing to share in our experience, but we're not going to be ridiculed in the process.

  • Your communication is oftentimes incomplete and unclear.  We try to be mind-readers but it's hard for us to figure out what's going on in there.

  • "lol, yeah, might be.....but now im kinda tired with points system, i am upgrading to electronic, im looking to get a flamethrower dizzy and a 40k volts coil, but seems like i cant find any compatible with my 59D4...everything i see online are for 45D 25D.....haaay

and i want a more consistent spark, electronic is the only way to go"  As for your upgrading to electronic ignition, I SPOON FED you the 59D4 Petronix unit on another thread. (Hint: //www.minimania.com/msgThread/116311/1/1/sick_and_tired

Or do you need the choo-choo version?

Open wide:  //www.minimania.com/part/LU243/Pertronix-Ignitor-Lucas-59d-Negative-Ground  Mmmmmm....  (Hahahahaahahaaa)

I could go on, but won't.  I, for one, have tried really hard to guide you, teach you, involve you, even welcome you; all to no avail.

I'd even quoted a spasmatic 'haaay' in the quote.  I also said in another thread, that trying to help Lobster is 'operation lost cause'.

So, I'm interested in seeing the clutch parts he'd recently ordered installed, wonder if it'll be the correct combination of parts or Lobster parts and more WD40 and bailing twine holding things together.

Adding youth to the forum?  I think not, stupic knows no age...

First off, I have no idea what race you are. And it has nothing to do with what race you might be. Accusing me of being a racist is a serious allegation that I will not take lightly. I've reported you to the moderators and we will let them be the judge.

I've blatantly tried to help you. I've tried sending you photos, I've tried offering you personal advice on your car off the forum. I've actually given you helpful advice on the forum and yet you still think that everyone is against you. And now you feel like I'm racially profiling you because you aren't good at typing? How dense are you? I told you that this isn't personal and all I am asking you to do is search. Use a function of the website that not only I have told you how to use, but numerous others. Are they all racists as well?

You can handle this two ways... You can simply take the advice and search at the top of the page and then delete your accusations that I'm a racist. Or you can go whine to the internet that I'm picking on you and make yourself look like even more of a fool. Either way, I'm done helping you wipe your ass for you so that you can just crap all over again and ask someone else to wipe it up again.
