You're correct....that combo does not look good.  Maybe if they were half that length (?)

Thanks KR. Yes at 60mm long i thought they would protrude too far. I think they would look less obtrusive with center caps.

I got them yesterday. I do have to say these things are super light weight, but they don't look so hot with my rims : (

Decisions decisions... might have to consider reselling them and cut my losses.

Manel not sure of spellimg is what high school shop guys made rings out of in the 60s. My father work for a company that had it's own sheet metal and machine shop. Dad had worked his way up and when he put in a request within a few days they would show up on his desk. I have tow bar adapters made of the same material. Porsche uses aooly lug nuts as well. Brad, how long are those nuts ?

If you click on the link in the first post, the ad shows all the measurements. Total length is 60mm.

I did some research and the polaris UTV/ATV that use these lugs call for 30-50lbs of torque depending on model. It sounds like the limiation might be the stud over these lugs.

Steve, the set you had made was from stainless? Do you happen to remember how much it cost you and what material/specs were used? My brother runs a small machine shop out of his garage and may be able to do something similar for me or low rate production if the price is reasonable.

I had a set made from manel (sp) in the late 60s, used them on my SCCA solo II mini with slicks. They went with the car first time I sold it. Steve (CTR)

I had heard those concerns also and ended up with a set of SS ones on a 13 " wheel Moke and had no problems. Also i worked on Jensen cars in my younger years and both the Healey and the 4000lb 140 mph Interceptor used aluminum lug nuts and were torqued to 50 lbs with no issues.

I was actually looking into them, and then my brother bought a street legal UTV. Seems that they are legitimate and able to hold the same stresses as what you'd buy from mini dealers. The trick is finding the set to match your wheels. I'd say go for it. They seem better quality to me and are widely available.
