The Georgia Republican Party grieves the loss of longtime employee and conservative activist, Rick Richardson. The former County and District Chairman, Richardson, 57, was hired by the GAGOP in June of 1998 where he served diligently and faithfully under numerous Republican leaders.

Hugh, I'm sure I've met Rick some years ago, would you have a photo of him ? Always sad to hear of anyone from the mini community passing.

For those of you that have been in the Mini community for a long time, you may recall a Miniac named Rick Richardson from the Atlanta area. I have been friends with Rick since way back in the 1980's when he was introduced to me by Art MacKenie Sr. He always arrived and pretty much hung out with Art and Betty, to the point that I originally thought he was Art's son. Anyway, I received word yesterday that he had passed, which saddens me. Rick was a great person and (I think) several years younger than myself. He sorta dropped out of the Mini scene several years ago as he got more and more wound up in politics in the GA area. For my own memories, Rick was the only one crazy enough to ride on the Rallye thru the Rockie Mountains back in 1989 when my Cooper had a severe knock. I wasn't even sure it would make the gruelling trip into the mountains but Rick had faith it would. We ended up getting fourth place in the Rallye and he flimed most of it thru the sunroof of my 997 Cooper. He will be missed!
