I mistakenly thought adults could manage without a heavy hand.  Thank you Kristina!  I have now killed off the copy-cat accounts for real.... sad to have to resort to that.  I have roots in a part of the world where censorship was very real, and it's still very distasteful.  Just imagin a world where the simplest premiss of all is simply observed by all - Treat others as you want to be treated. All our belligerent religions would be out of business. And a much better world we would have.

I wish I could implement some of the great suggestions of ignore buttons, or features to allow expressing displeasure, or 'voting' someone out.....BUT if you would kindly remember that I could not even get Zippy's rolleyes back.... That is how much - or how little influence I really have, and that's because this 'playground' is not a priority to running the business. Scroll back and read Air2air's post about technical limitations. He's right about the difficulty, and therefore the cost of doing even simple things... like the rolleyes!

But, I find it matters to me to preserve this tradition if I can....in some ways this 'family' of long time friends that goes beyond the cute little cars.  This is so uncommon in today's internet world, that people who live in different parts of the world, I'll even say anonymous to each other for the most part, can genuinely care about the well being of their fellow miniacs beyond getting their dizzy working. When anyone here or even at our competititors is stricken with health issues, the support from the group is heartfelt and touching, and really shows how trivial some of these petty squables are.

So it is what it is, and with your collective support and cooperation, we can keep it going. If you can't take it, no hard feelings. Good luck in life. But please don't burn it down on your way out. We might still be here if you need us. That's what friends are for.

I haven't spent the energy to respond to this until now. As a kindegarten teacher I will simply remind you that everything you ever needed to know about social situations you learned in kindergarten.

1. If you don't want it done to you, don't do it to anyone else.

2. If you don't want it said to you, don't say it to anyone else.

3. If someone is trying to bother you, ignore them. They are just seeking attention.

I have appreciated all the help and great people on this site for years! Thanks for giving me a place to learn and meet others with a common interest. I take what I like and leave the rest. The kind folks on here have helped my Mongrel through many repairs, I am very appreciative.

Agreed that making fun of the mentally challenged thing is WAY over the line. I do agree that a simple report button would help. I think banning people like rodster is completely called for. That's purely a disruptive account.

Honestly, Jemal. I know that you're trying. And I hope you don't think I have some sort of vendetta against you. I really don't. I've been over all of this since my last post. Prayed about a lot of things and decided that this is an unnecessary worry for me. Should have gone that route earlier. I still will be here on a limited basis and only to give help when I think I can add to it. I might post a build thread in the future, but that's still up for debate. The format just doesn't accomodate a build thread very well.

You know what, I've tried very hard to come up with some ideas to improve things within the limitations of what I can do. I am astounded that so many of you are such petty jerks!  Do you seriously have such empty lives that this drama is a highlight for you?  I spend my own time trying to get you babies to get along, but I'm close to REALLY saying the hell with it.  If you don't like my living room get the hell out!  If you don't like someone's posts  DON'T READ THEM !!!!!!!.....DON'T RESPOND!  They'll go away!

How hard is that really?  Have a lovely weekend....

Yeah, It's also in pretty poor taste to make fun of disabled kids as the profile avatar implies...

Why not just add a report button to the title bar of each post. It would require coding, but that is easier than checking every post and then asking for a personal phone call. The report button is then available for all members to show that they feel a post is offensive, spam, inappropriate, etc and it can show moderators directly where to look. The moderators should take action if it is reported by enough people and not just one person who is upset that their idea was called dumb.

Jemal, too bad you can't encourage heeding suggestions to read and learn as well as accepting assistance given from experienced and qualified individuals who were/are genuinely trying to help.  Accepting assistance doesn't mean necessarily following the prescribed path, just acknowledging and perhaps trying to understand the reason for the suggestions.  And face it, there were lots of suggestions made and obtuse behavior from Robster which led to his 'Troll' status.

Thick is as thick does, and I can't believe that a huge majority on here have in effect turned cheek after a somewhat weak / synthetic apology from Robster (Coolsterr/Pacific Luke, :Γ, etc.).

I, a former Army officer (35D) for 8 years, sitting here with 2 BA's and an additional supplemental qualification/certification (edit: in fact, 2 additionals...) - thick skinned for sure, definately not the huggy, touchy-feely sensitive guy, life has kicked me in the nuts more than once but I am still 'the soft-spoken and tolerant type' normally accepts folks without prejudicial qualification.  When they go out of their way to really sour relational 'neutrality', well, my the dial on my analogue character assessment meter lurches toward the untrustworthy jerk end of the scale.

Yes, after repeated attempts to help and having received what I and other Board members consider exceptionally rude behavior and treatment, I remain offended.  I'll admit, I'm not that big a person and yes, I'm doubtful that a zebra can change it's stripes...

My suggestion is to scroll past unwanted responses by not responding it gives the attention seeker no reward. A friend told me you can't match wits with nitwits.

Thanks for the kind wishes!  Here is little Xavy at about 2 months old!  He's an amazing little guy!

Robster, I think I finally believe that you are real!  We have done away with the imposter accounts, but at some point I still may want you to call me....  There is no reason for you to comment on EVERY post that others put up!  Just look at your overall number of posts... you have been a member here just over two months, Yet you have more posts than I do, and I've been here since 2001!

I know it can be tempting, but try to only post when you have relevant info to add!  You seem to change the subject all the time and that gets annoying for people who are trying to help!

I don't believe i read there was an option for people with accents otherwise most of us would be exempt. If you get called out by Jemal he WILL expect a phone call those are his/MM's rules.

as far as i remember we' ve always been adults enough, to setle fights and disputes in the board and never needed any kind of moderation. On the other hand i believe we should feel safe in order to share, which is why i'm with Jemal on this.

hope you re doing great Jemal and the baby
