Thanks for the offer. I sent the picture to a friend yesterday and he called last night to say he found it at the local hose store.
But I'll still buy you the beer. Come on down.

This is the hose that came on it.
Great news if all I have to do is replace the hose. (not that I'm likely to find one around here).

The hose Terry posted should be the one.
The small bore hose is shorter and def won't work.
I't a little easier if you undo the top bracket of the rad so you can get some travel at the top to install the hose.

There are a number of thermostat elbows. As your installation is custom it may be that one of the other elbows would work, but the S type hose is actually a question mark form:
So it should work for you, others are similar as well.

As I assemble all the parts (those following my posts will understand), I cannot figure out how to get the radiator hose from the thermostat to meet the opening on the top of the radiator, as the two are too close together.
I am beginning to think the radiator is from the shell (late 80's with 998 engine) instead of from the engine (SPI).
What are the differences between the SPI and 998 (or some other mismatch) radiator, and consequences of making hose adaptations vs importing the right one?
Here is the radiator that came
Here it is fitted to the car, after adapting the top bracket that had the thermostat wrap around design.
