Its running now. Funny story. Owner changed car battery and fob battery. Car was fine before that. Guys about 40 minutes from me so was trying to walk through checking things over the phone. Told him to check the voltage with a meter on the fob battery. Turns out he left a protective film on the 2032 battery. Took, the film off, put the battery back in and fired right up.

Did you re-sync the fob atfter replacing the battery?

It requires multiple pressing of one of the buttons. What is the status of the immobilizer lights?

hotel.. try these folks   www.remotekey.co.uk/cars/rover/rover-mini/  you might have send deposit for re set devise..  which is 125 quid..  plus 100 quid for the rental.. if batteries went dead in the FOB btw. you can disconnect the FOB on SPI.. but NOT MPI
