Thank you very much. When speaking on the phone I was told it was a very sound car and he was asking $5000. Before the WWW I drove to Delaware with an empty trailer to pick up what I was led to believe was an Arizona rust free never any damage Cooper S. When I arrived to find a car with no floors at all and three inchs of bondo in both rear fenders I was so upset the seller called the police. He told the cop my expectations were to high. After looking at the car the letter and two snap shots of the car the cop said he was surprised I was taking it as well as I was. Suggested I get in my truck and go back south where I belonged. I'm thinking this car is not what I'm looking for but again thanks. Steve (CTR)

It would make a nice rat rod with that patina and a coat of clear on it.

If you are interested Steve, I'll give him a call again tomorrow and let you know what I find out.  His shop is about a half hour from here and it might be possible for me to get over there next week.

Did you ask his price? I spoke with him on the phone and got as much info as I could. He does not take pictures or do computer. Had he sounded open to offers I would have run down for a look. Steve (CTR)

I'm not interested in another project but I called Bill to wish him well.

He is closing the shop because he's been doing repair work for 40+ years and is ready for retirement.  I will miss him but hope to see him at the MG Car Club show each spring.

The name "Se7en"or "Seven" was revived for the MINI in 99-00 I believe.

Just sayin....

"Import Car Center" means it is Bill Hargrove's car.  I had heard he was getting rid of most of his collection even his Triumph Italia.  I've known him since I was a teenager.  It's sad to hear he is closing the garage also.  I haven't used his services in 25 years but always knew I could trust him to do a good job.  I guess he is about 65 now and ready to move on to a well earned retirement.

True Larry. But the way the US registers cars (some states at least) is when they were first registered seems to become the year so it could be a 59 - 62 sat on a dealers lot first registered in 66 but still as you say does not make it a 66.
