No--but thanks for asking. I will be using them for my restoration. I posted the pictures of the distance pieces for any one that has a Mini with external hinges.
Trying to give back for all the help that I have received from Mini Mania and the forum members.

I added this to favorites when first posted, not sure if I have all the distance pieces, or where they're at.
Gotta agree Jim, very nice resource available to all .
Why I look here first when thinking about making a purchase.

I have fabricated the angled distance pieces from 5/8" stainless rod by drilling a 1/4" hole in the end of the rod and then cut the rod on a 10 degree angle. The pieces are approximately .110" on the thin edge to .220" on the thick edge. I hope the pictures have transferred--my first time doing this.
Thanks for the help.
This forum allows the exchange of information that otherwise would take a great deal of time to obtain. What a great resource provided by Don and the folks at Mini Mania!!!

As said there are 2 used per door. I've not seen them used elsewhere.

Gentlemen--thanks for the replies! I will be using 5/8" O.D. stainless which will increase the surface area contacted for the sheet metal.
Such small items which will make a big difference.
Am I also correct that the angled spacers, quantity of 4, are used only on the upper door hinges inside of the door and not any where else??

There is not much I can add to what AzbornMini posted. The math from his measurements works out close to an 11 degree angle. However, anything from 10 to 15 degrees should work fine because the part is so small. I believe I cut the pieces for my car at 15 degrees.

I am fabricating the angled distance pieces for my MK 1 door hinges. Not available from our host. I believe there are 4 pieces total--two on the right upper and two on the left upper studs of the hinge and inside the doors under the 1/4" X 28 nuts.
I plan on using stainless steel rod ( believe the original was aluminum ) with a 1/4" hole drilled but need to know the angle to cut the rod to and the length of the spacer.
Were there angled spacers on the two front studs of the right and left upper hinges inside the hinge panel?
Thanks for your assistance.
Jim
