Here is some more information from Newton.
I believe our host sells newton products by special order, different part number so some slight variations
MK1 MINI SPEEDO PANELS- CARS WITH OVAL BINNACLE 1962-1967
Part No: DT3021
These ‘speedo panels’ are designed to fit cars with the three instrument speedo binnacle set into the dash- originally this was a feature of the Cooper models only, but it then went on to become optional on the various types of Mini 1000, 998cc cars. These panels are trimmed in plain vinyl material rather than the Gold or Silver Brocade used on the Mk1 Cooper speedo panels.
MINI SPEEDO PANELS - FOR SINGLE CENTRE SPEEDOMETER MK1 & MK2 MODELS ONLY (1962-1969/70)
Part No: DT3024
These panels are designed to be fitted to Mk1 and Mk2 cars with the speedometer only, projecting through the dash; NOT 998cc cars or Cooper models with the three-instrument binnacle incorporating the speedometer.
Die-cut to shape from automotive quality fibreboard, and trimmed in vinyl/leather-cloth (colour of your choice), these panels push fit into the dash area using the tabs provided top and bottom. The thinner, outer ends of the panels have a flap of material which needs to be glued to the body side and fed under the door draught excluder to secure the panel in place.
MINI MK.II 1967-69 OVAL SPEEDO PANELS
Part No: DT3034
//www.newtoncomm.co.uk/cars/classic-mini/model-18/panels/5209-mini-mkii-1967-69-oval-speedo-panels/
These panels are designed to be fitted to Mk II cars with the oval instrument console projecting through the dash.
This document is common to all the panels and is different than what posted previously.

I have a Mk I, but it does have the 3-gauge center binnacle. i have teh kit but cannot figure out exactly how it goes in there. I know the other panels, i.e.: door, rear quarter, etc, generally are a friction type fit as there is no hardware.

If you're asking me, it's a MkII, with the three gauge center binnacle.

Mark I or Mark II?
Mark I binnacle floats off the surface
Mark II, I never really had a proper one, so I cannot answer, but I doubt the binnacle screws would go through the panel. Mark II must have a slightly different shape.

Sweet!
Question: Should the cards go UNDER the binnacle, or be pressed AROUND an already installed binnacle?

This what I got from Newton if it is the correct panels:
FITTING MINI SPEEDO PANELS
Remove the door draft excluder away from the body where the end of the panel wraps around the door opening.
Fit dash tray liner initially.
On the dash panel boards you will notice the small end has a crease in the reverse side.
Lay the panel on it’s back and bend the crease 90 degrees forwards.
If you have a crease along the top edge, this should bent similar.
Position the lower part of the panel on top of the dash tray liner and then bend the panel along its length towards you and insert the top edge under the dash top.
Apply pressure along the centre of the panel to flatten it into place.
The outer flap near the crease should then be wrapped around the edge of the door opening ( can be glued into position) and the draft excluder
replaced.

Hello,
Does anyone have any pointers or helpful hints on how to install the interior pieces for the package tray and single gauge cluster?
Any help would be appreciated.
