Probably the best story I have with the Moke is a guy who, yelled "Oh my god, it's a Mini Moke". Of course, I was surprised he actually knew what it was.

He told me he had the DInky Toys version when he was a kid, and it was one of his favourite toys, but had never seen one in real life until thadt day.

It made me smile.

I'm pretty sure that I've told this before.....

We were dealing with a couple of medical representitives when I found out one of 'em lived right down the road from me. So, I asked him if he ever saw my little British car describing it as looking somewhat like a big golf cart...

He says, No I haven seen you....

In the meantime, the female rep is looking at me like a ghost. She asked, "What kind of car is it?"

"A Moke"

"A Moke?" She says with her eyes wide open. At this point, I'm surprised to find someone that actually knows what a Moke is.... Then she says, "We have one* too!"

What are the chances?

*-Her Moke has since been sold on to a friend of mine.

It happens when you least expect it. UPS guy saw the Austin and started telling me about a Mini he had years ago.

This moring I had a guy out to replace the Water Heater at the place we rent.   I opened the garage door and hiding in the garage is my Mini covered with boxes etc, well he says' " Is that a Mini?"  I say yes indeed it is!  ( I was excited 'cause he could recognise it!)  He says his brother in Michigan has a 64 Mini, " That thing is so cool it's like driving a go cart!" He says.  I go yes that what a lot of folks say.  Unfortunately I haven't driven mine yet....and we proceded to talk about Mini's!   Cool start for a Friday morning!
