no modification on the pedal,, simply install the japanese cable a usual, the only hard part is to cut and custom fit the cable itself.., its a soft(super pliable cable) not like the ordinary cables that are hard to bend, these are skinny cables that slides easily inside the lining yet so durable. guys,if you have a sticky cables, do it!!  i can walk you thru if need to.. thats how helpful i am, with sincerity!

So I want to find a way to use one of these and find an associated coupling for the throttle body. We'll see how that works out.

The spi cable is made like that with an adjuster near the carb/throttle body end but he amount of cable from the adjuster to the barrel end is too long

I put a couple of thousand miles a year on the Moke.
Only time it was out of service for a few days was for a head gasket.... Haven't had to push it or tow it home yet.

Out of curiousity, did you need to make any modification at the throttle pedal to use that brilliant $100 cable?

Edit: It seems that all you've accomplished was to take a $100 Japanese made scooter throttle and turn it into a $10 part that doesn't fit correctly. Now, that's thinking outside the box.

Edit 2: And, no, the picture you show is nowhere near the ferrule I've referenced.

the big question is how many mile have you driven your car in 7years?? hmm maybe 1,000 miles?? because you only display your moke and not actually ride them.

Yours will start sticking again if you didn't take care of the bulkhead issue i posted previously, i don't care if you put a thousand dollar cable on it from a Ferrari it will eventually stick trust me i know BTDT.

This is why everyone explains how to do repairs and do them right so you don't have the same problems later. ok here's the picture of the ferrule, remember, the cable is coated with nylon, so when i cut it with my dremel it didnt dislodge , its still intact.

when i took away the other extra tiny return spring i swear the car runs much more smoother and faster and so responsive, when i went to the grocery in the  highway, the Camaro behind me ate my dust... he was probably wondering how much hp my car has.

What?  You really are a simpleton.

I'm one of the (few) mini owners that have my fan correctly installed.  Maybe your mini is special...  Maybe you're not mechanically inclined...

No it's not reversed (interchanged). You can run up to 30% if you wish but by adding more anti freeze you lower the boiling point which is not a good thing in a Mini especially in Arizona hence my recomendation to run with the least a/f you can. Water boils at 212 degrees and your gauge if accurate and original running on the N for normal  (probably not a word you have heard much) is around 185 degrees.

Nice chart Robin.

Ignorance is bliss,
I suppose the question would be; "How cold does it get around your neighborhood?"

Mal was probably taking his best guess based on where you live... although he may not have factored in the rock you crawl out from under... it's probably a bit cooler there.

Were you born stupic, or have you practised your whole life and mastered it ?

YOUR FAN IS ON BACK TO FRONT.  NO IFS, no BUTS, IT IS ON THE WRONG WAY ROUND.
Yes, it still moves some air, but nowhere near as much as it will if you can be bothered to turn it round instead of acting like a know-all divvy.

You are not correct i don't know (or want to) how your mind works .............

Just install the fan the correct way, replace the water pump, fan belt, flush the radiator and heater, install new top and bottom hoses and a by pass hose, install a new 180 degree thermostat, replace the anti freeze with about 10% a/f and 90% water and you will be ready for that Arizona summer.
