I still have some new in box large diaphrams Isleblue65, pulled one out last year and rubber is still soft, how after all these years or if it will last, I don't know.

Might have to rethink putting a booster on my car, number of booster and parts. ( I just remember trouble shooting booster problems (non mini) on cars and trying to figure/pin point exact cause).

All servo rebuild parts are still available except for the main large diaphragm.  For some reason, that is not reproduced.

I rebuild one and found all needed parts.  Luckily someone had rebuilt it years previously when the diaphragms were being reproduced, so it was in great shape.

Mark,

I looked at the rebuild kits ....problem is, you can use those parts... and if 17H884 is toast the old servo will not function .... like i said, more new servos sold when critical parts are NLA for the originals....conspiracy or enterprise ?

I completely agree. My offer is only because I just had mine refurbished. I was fortunate to get a rebuild kit several years ago and even more fortunate to have a restoration shop hone and rebuild mine. Just don't think I can remove all the rust and patina to get it back to the factory look.

I'd estimate the value around $500, but the takers are few and far between.

On an obliquely related note, my question is why part #17H8834 is not available ?....Other than the fact that NLA for this air valve diaphraghm for the 21A1293 servo leaves little option than buying the repro ....now reaching the stratosphere at over 8C ... i paid $133.00 for the same thing  2006 !

An original unused should generate as least as much... if not more than a repro in my opine.

Mr Flyinace, I have a 72 inno 1000 Mini Cooper we should talk. Just beginning a restoration. And if you are bidding one dollar more than Isleblue OK. Looks like we are light weights as reserve I suspect to be much higher than we are now.

That sounds like an auction ..... with reserve.   ( what's the reserve )
