. ok.. www.remotealarms.co.uk You will need to rent their reset kit.. about 120 quid.. and in that this car is 15 years old.. my guess you will need the EU unit rebuilt soon.. and think www.minispares.com is only one still doing SPI or MPIs EU units.. 265 quid for the rebuild.. and might also replace the Thottle body from Burlen Fuel System in the UK with 52 MMsteel one and throw the plastic 48 MM throttle body away.. NO one in the usa does this.. what year is your DRAG QUEEN..??

I recently purchased a mint 2000 Rover Mini Cooper (1,600 miles). Not long after getting it, it began having problems starting. Turned over fine, just wouldn't fire. I took it to a European Sportscar Specialist (and soon realized they don't know a lot about classic Mini's) who diagnosed it as something wrong with the immobilizer/alarm. When he manually bypasses the immobilizer, the car fires right up. Unfortunately, he says he can't make this permanent. New battery, new plugs, new fob batteries, etc. didn't change a thing. He says he is waiting for confirmation from someone in the UK, but that you can permanently bypass the immobilizer. The problem is that it needs to be sent to the UK to be done, plus this outfit hasn't been real responsive. I asked why he just doesn't replace it and he says it requires software changes he is not capable of making. Any ideas? Anyone know of a classic Mini capable technician in the Phoenix, AZ area. This thing has been in the shop over a month and I am getting desperate.
