That's  pretty danged impressive!  Only 12 years to restore an entire car from just a one by three inch piece of tin with two holes in it....

rusted subframe bolts are the hardest material known to man...

It would be deemed less special, I'm sure running stock throttle cable, air filter, rear view mirror, et cetera .

Simply mundane.

Shot in Los Vegas, great video but what a crap full of story line- Upon watching the video again, l think the commentator/ driver actually believes his story-

When he found it hard to continue the verbage while driving, he resorted to "tooting the horn" to verify its' great sound-Just too funny- But, l am guilty of some of the same moves when l was in my "hay day" selling minis-Like opening the bonnet for a would be buyer and saying,"now here is the engine", how dumb was that ????

But of course the buyer always was in control when they would finish up the sales talk with the 6 fateful words "Just gotta check with the wife" ugh, that was the death rattle right there !!!

Quote from the sales team:

"yes youre right to a point. this model was built in the uk in the late 90's then registered as a 68'. because of U.S regulations cars have to have a certain wheel base width in order to be deemed street legal. However, cars built prior to the 70's can legally be driven despite their tiny width. Thats why these are registered as 68' just so they can be used in the u.s."

I've never heard of this wheelbase rule.....?? (wheel base width?)

Wow, you won't believe this car is a 1968.   It feels so much newer than that!

That was definitely good for a few laughs.   It's a lovely car though, and I hope the new owner doesn't believe the 12-years to build and 1968 nonsense, register it somewhere where the DMV knows better and lose it.
