OK, I too saw the petrolicious green Mini.  I love that shade of green.  It looks like a lighter BRG.  I'm just having a hard time finding a color code.  By the way, Im in NE Wisconsin Door County.  The car went into primer yesterday.

Try to find an OZ BMC colour card.  We had lots of "BRG" over teh years.  Cedar Green Forrest Green and a bunch of others.  My favourite (although green is not really my thing - too common is BRM Green (not sure that's its real name) - which in any subdued light looks black.

I would just get a coulur card from one of teh paint suppliers (I had a mate with a panel shop and he had books full of them) and choose a shade that appeals to you.

Cheers, Ian

That colour or one like it is called connaught green i believe Ian, TTF64's car is that colour.

A nice BRG although it has a slight metallic is the one used on the British Open's of the early 90's Mini's, not really a big fan of any metallic colours on early collectable otherwise stock Mini's. Just my 02c.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

I have a real problem.  My 1968 Morris Cooper S is going to be painted next week and I still can't decide on a color.  The car came as El Paso Beige with a Snowberry White roof.  OK, I'm keeping the roof the original color but the El Paso Beige is ugly as sin.  I now know that there was no such thing as BRG in 1968 for the Minis that came off of the production line.  Almond green is too much like pea soup to me.  Therefore, what about John Rhodes BMC racing green otherwise refered to as General Post Office Green????  As I understand it, this was the color used on the Works cars in the 1960s.  Does anybody out there have a formula for this color?  Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Randy in Wisconsin.
