Great job, I am currently doing the same thing. I will have to get pics and post them, but I have some MKI templates also, and with a little patience its not that difficult to get it stitched together.... says the man trained by the US Military to sew all types of products. Cool

Yes, Dean I still have the pattern and am still using it as I have the other seat to finish.

The seats I bought quite a few years ago as in the "before" picture - tan with a plaid center.  The after picture is from taking the covers apart, making a pattern, modifying the pattern to look more "Mk 1.", buying red and grey vinyl from Jo-Ann Fabric, and spending time with the sewing machine.

Thank you to all that have replied either here or by email.  Attached you can see the before and the after picture.  When I took the old seat covers off I found 1.35 GBP in coins so I am guessing these recliners came from a Mk3 Mini (based on dates found on some of the coins).

google search SMS auto fabrics in Oregon

they have the largest choice for auto fabrics, you will need to send them

a sample of vinyl,  i am sure they will have what you want,

use caution, have them ship COD and google there company for reviews

i have bought from them and have had very good luck, just slow on shipping

Only Newton has the brocade as you probably know.  And you also know what an ungodly amount of $ it costs to ship their stuff.

I would order yours from Mania because they ship in bulk and get regular shipments.  I made the mistake of not doing that, and paid way more for stuff that took forever to get here.  Freight cost was almost as much as the products.

I remember the instructions were useless too on the rear seat covers.  Had to basically learn by doing, it took 2 brutal days.  Why they don't just ship a complete seat I'll never know.
