mike... your so right..... the drag-on would certainly fill that void of a track along with all the beautiful roads and country side.... ( my #1 MME location for sure ) white water rafting and much more ....

This happened in Spring Thing a few years back, and as for driving the same road???  Not likely, but if we do, who cares?  Follow someone different each time, it will feel like a new road, and besides, I'll gladly take those same roads against the on ramp in the expressways here.

East/West last year was my favorite MME ever as they had some beautiful country drives with some great stops, well done. They proved that if you have a parking lot activity and a great drive, that almost everybody goes on the drive (People like to see the area and drive their Mini, really?). If they made money, more power to them as it was worth my money. And even for the car show peeps, it was in a beautiful location.

"CMU always drive the same roads in the Smokeys, but that doesn't seem to be a problem." Should be hard for you to say as you only came to one event. So I'll clarify, as roads connect other roads, yes we sometimes drive on the same FUN roads (Never going back to the Drag-on). As the roads in Cherokee NC are connected to the roads in Virginia, yes then we drive on the same roads, just different parts of the same road. We have dedicated cruise masters that take a lot of time to put on the most enjoyable/fun/exciting Mini drives in North America. If you like driving your Mini, you'll have a blast at the Mini 56; seeing a train of about 75 classic Minis twisting through the mountains and invading area towns.

 

Dr. Mini. Newport News it was. My wife was really miffed because the economic summit was being held at the same time and Busch Gardens was closed to the public. Listened to the 83' Indy 500 on the way home. Sneva won.

east coast is a blast as well... great seafood......

i really don't care where it's at .... as long as it's real close to a track... we can rent for a day or two.... this should be a must for a mini event.... after all ...where does a mini belong and loves to be on..??? ( A TRACK..)

and coupled with that .... to have a body of water near as well... total bliss...

as long as we can track the mini's at a mme event ... i'm there.... are ya seeing it all.... a beautiful day out... all of us motor heads at the track with out hot arse lil mini's ... we get to play on the track... play with our mini's, sharing conversation ...and have our rented cook there with his big ass bar b qer ,,, roasting a pig, some chickens. dog's and burgers... cold potato salad... beans... all that good stuff....and have an ice cold beer to wash it all down ... later we head back to our rented compound ,,, relax , clean up .. most will gather outside to take in the summer night while enjoying a cold bevy as we chat among friends .....
