Wow, remove the temp sender and stick a shopvac up to it.  The things you learn.... that tip deserves some kind of reward.

Yes.

Remove the bottom hose, utilise the block drain if there is one, or remove the temp sender and use a shop vac to suck out the coolant.

Hello folks

Quick question; do you have to drain the engine coolant before removing the cylinder head?  Not sure how much residual collant is left in the head when engine is not running.  Could avoid a messy situation.  Thank in advance for the help.
